Saturday 05/08/2023 – NSWSFL Foil Team Premiership #4: U14, U16 and U19 Teams Round 3 (+ SBHS Newbie Trophy Finals):
Venue: SBHS COLA (Cricket Nets)
All SBHS Foil Squad Fencers are expected to arrive by 7:30am to help set up the event and support the program as referees or helpers for the BBQ. Full sport uniform is expected for medal ceremony. Bring your fencing gear in case there’s a chance for friendly matches after the main event. Coach Kevin and Lachlan will be there to assist the Foil matches. Mr Huynh will be managing the event and supervising. Coaches Leo and Ming will assist the Newbie Sabre match. Coaches Ted and Nicholas will assist the Newbie Epee match.
Day Schedule:
8:00am – 8:50am : U14 Round 3 (SAC v SICR, BARK v SGS) (SBHS to referee)
9:00am – 9:50am : U16 Round 3 (SAC v SICR, BARK v SGS) (SBHS to referee)
10:00am – 10:50am : U19 Round 3 (SBHS v AAS, SAC v SICR, BARK v SGS) (spare coaches to referee)
11:00am – 11:50am: SBHS Newbie Trophy Finals (Internal SBHS Competition) Time needed to do NSWSFL Point tabulations. Newbie Fencers are expected to arrive no later than 10am to warm up and prepare for their match.
12:00pm : Medal Presentations for NSWSFL Foil Team Premiership (we will have team medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd as well as individual medals for Most Victories, 2nd Most Victories, 3rd Most Victories for each of the age groups.

Senior Boys Foil Team Results (8 teams competing):
- SBHS Foil Team A (Dean Johnsun (11F), Benjamin Dang (9R), Andrew Wang (11S), Daniel Kim (10M)) came 2nd with Silver.
A commendable effort and strong growth for our Foil fencers and Foil program – still yet to unseat Sydney Grammar, the long-time champions of Foil.
Our B Team was unfortunately knocked out by Syd Grammar A Team in the semi-finals.
