As we are transitioning to online learning, please ensure you make some time for physical activity in your daily routine at home to maintain a healthy mind and body.
There are many resources online to help you with your fencing training at home. One of my particular favourites for fencing tips and footwork exercises is this YouTube channel:

Update regarding After School Fencing Training and Saturday Fencing Activities
Hi all,
This message is to inform you of the current developments affecting the SBHS Fencing Program and Saturday fencing activities so we can plan accordingly.
We were recently informed about the DET directive for schools to adopt social distancing measures:
“All major arts, sports and initiative activities and events will temporarily be ceased until further notice. This includes whole-school sporting events and inter-school events involving three or more schools.”
Our school is currently reviewing our procedures and planning accordingly as the situation develops.
The following school policies are now in effect:
- All after school training has been suspended until further notice (all sports affected).
- All Saturday sports (fixtures, competitions) has been suspended until further notice (all sports affected).
- Students can continue to attend timetabled sport (Seniors on Wed 1pm – 3pm, Juniors on Thurs 1pm – 3pm).
We will update you with information as we become aware of any changes to the plans in place for the SBHS Fencing program.
Please feel free to contact me if there are any issues or questions.
Best regards,
Dat Huynh
