Saturday 05/09/2020 – Newbie Trophy Competition details
Hi all,
We are down to the top 8 Newbie Foil fencers in the Foil Competition. These fencers will fence the remainder of the tournament on Saturday.
Newbie Trophy Foil tournament details (and top 8 fencers) can be found here:
https://challonge.com/sbhsnewbietrophyfoil2020
The pools have been set for the Sabre Newbie fencers. Please check here for the tournament details:
https://challonge.com/sbhsnewbietrophysabre2020
Matches are starting at 8:30am sharp – please aim to arrive around 30 minutes earlier than start time to warm up and prepare for your bouts.
Please ensure you are wearing correct sport uniform (the same as for training – including long pants) and bring your fencing gear.
We also recommend you bring a water bottle and a snack to help you stay hydrated and energy levels up to last you through all your matches.
As per DEC policy, parents are unfortunately not permitted to attend the venue and are advised to drop off and pick up their sons only. We plan to wrap up the session by 12:30pm at the latest – students are able to leave earlier if they are eliminated and have arranged for you to pick them up.
We are looking into ways to live stream the event and will keep you posted on progress. At the very least, you can keep track of results with live updates on the Challonge links above.
Please contact Mr Huynh if there are any questions or issues.
All the best to our Newbie Foil and Sabre fencers this Saturday!
Cheers,
