After School Training starts week 9 for all Fencers

Besides a small number of students who were absent for tryouts this week (conflicting rowing training etc.), we have mostly concluded the tryouts for program intake for the 2019 season. Absent students (who completed the tryout form) will still be assessed at the next opportunity during a training session to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of the tryout process.

Squad tryouts are still ongoing as we aim to wrap up the pool bouts ASAP.

When pools have been completed and Squad selection is finalised, all students who did not make Squad selection are to attend the Wednesday 27/03/19 after school training session from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.

Foil Squad Fencers:

Students who are trying out for the U19 Foil Squad and/or the U16 Foil Squad, please attend the Monday 25/03/19 after school training session from 3:30pm to 5:00pm to complete your pool bouts.

Students who are trying out for the U14 Foil Squad, please attend the Thursday 28/03/19 after school training session from 3:30pm to 5:00pm to complete your pool bouts.

Epee and Sabre Squad Fencers:

All students who are trying out for Epee and/or Sabre Squad selection, please attend the relevant Squad training sessions from week 9 onwards as pool bouts are conducted during training to determine your ranking.

Beginner Fencers and Recreational Fencers:

Students who are new to Fencing and are not involved in Squad tryouts, please attend the Wednesday 27/03/19 after school training session from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in managing this challenging task. Also, special thanks to the coaching team for their efforts during this most difficult task of determining the intake for the training program this season.

Please let me know if there are any issues or questions.

Cheers,
Dat Huynh
