End of 2024 Season Survey

To our Fencers,

As we are wrapping up the end of another Fencing season, we ask that you please take some time to provide us with some valuable feedback so that we’re able to improve the program for next season.

The survey will only take a few minutes and the Google Form link can be found here:

https://forms.gle/uT4PfW2drysmbpBX9

You’ll be required to sign into your school account to ensure one response per person (and you can edit your response afterwards if you want to).

Note: All fencers who complete this survey will go into a raffle to win a special mystery prize at the Fencing Dinner! As such, your email address will be collected for verification purposes and will only be used for the raffle.

The survey will remain open for the next few weeks (until the Fencing Dinner), but please consider completing it ASAP so that we can review and start planning next year’s program to meet the needs of our school community.

Thank you very much for your time and assistance and may the Force be with you!

All Junior Foil Newbies – Please attend afterschool Development training on Thursday to prepare for your Friendly fixture with Newington this Saturday

As year 7 Newbies have a friendly fixture this Saturday at Newington, please make sure to attend the Development Training session afterschool on Thursday. Please bring a big enough sports bag to carry additional fencing equipment (lame, body wire, weapon).

For non year 7 Junior Newbies, you will also be learning more about preparing for fixtures during Thursday’s Development session. You are welcome to attend the friendly fixture on Saturday to observe and support our teams. We are limiting fencers to year 7 on Saturday to meet the host’s request for this initial fixture. We hope to increase opportunities for all newbies as we get a better feel for other schools’ capabilities to host.

Please note: Non Newbie Development Foil will be cancelled for Thursday Development Session this week to prioritise the space for Junior Newbie Foil fencers.

Clipboard rolls have been updated accordingly.

Please contact me if there are any issues or questions.

Newbie Year 7 Fencers: Planned Friendly Fencing Event with Newington College on Saturday 22/06/2024

To all newbie year 7 Fencers,

As a courtesy notice, we have a planned Friendly Fencing Event with Newington College on next Saturday 22/06/2024 for our Newbie Year 7 Fencers (all weapons).

We anticipate that the time commitment will be approximately 8am to 12pm. Coaching and staffing resources will be allocated to help supervise and manage the event. We may call on volunteer Senior Squad Fencers to assist with mentoring on the day as well.
