Hi all,

The fencing season has officially ended with our last training session on Thursday 11/08/16, although we still have a few more weekends of competitions left.

The U13, U15 and Senior Epee Teams competitions as well as the Senior Foil Teams DE and Finals are coming up on the 20/08/16 and I am happy to provide supervision and equipment lending for boys who are competing in those events.

I will also be supervising the Barker exchange program on the weekends of 27/08/16 and 03/09/16. More details about this event will be posted closer to the date.

In the meantime, please take a moment to provide valuable feedback to help us improve the SBHS Fencing program by filling in the survey via the link below:

Australian Under 15 & Cadet Fencing Championships 2016
Marrickville PCYC – Sydney Wednesday 6th July to Sunday 10th July

All the best 🙂

The boys achieved incredible results at the Fencing National School Teams Championships in Brisbane on Saturday the 18th of June. It was also the strongest turnout to date at the competition, with 6 teams competing in the men’s Epee and 4 teams in the men’s Sabre.

After achieving Silver for the last two seasons, our Epee A Team finally won Gold this year and our Epee B Team had their strongest performance yet and came through with the Bronze.

Epee A Team won Gold: Arthur Chao, Peter Lin, James Ye, John Tian (C). Epee B Team won Bronze: Roy Zheng, William Zeng (C), Kentaro Takahata

Our Sabre team delivered a stunning performance to win another Gold and remain the champions in Sabre for the 3rd year in a row.

Sabre Team won Gold: Lincoln Hui, Garry Huang (C), James Siu, Kinzey Rahardja

Congratulations and well done, my padawans!
