Note: SBHS will enter a selection of NSWFA events that allow for Australian Schools Championships qualification. All Squad fencers who wish to compete in NSWFA events must pay for the Junior Participative membership of NSWFA ($50). SBHS will cover the competition entry fees.

SBHS Fencing plans to enter Squad Fencers into the Roberta Nutt Individual Competition (qualifier for National School Fencing events) and enter teams into the AJ Rae School Team Championships (qualifier for the National School Fencing events). Note: Students will need to register and pay for NSWFA membership in order to participate in NSWFA events. SBHS Fencing will pay the entry fees.

School Competitions 2020:

Update (posted 06/08/2020):
We regretfully had to suspend the NSW Schools’ Fencing League fixtures for the 2020 season due to the disruptions and policies from the Covid-19 situation making it extremely challenging to resume the program for the remainder of the winter sport season.

However, NSWFA are moving ahead with their revised School Aged Program for the 2020 season. We will look into this as an opportunity for our students to represent the school at selected NSWFA events.

We are curently working on finalising the fixtures for the NSW Schools’ Fencing League Foil and Epee Team Premiership 2020 season. Please stay tuned for updates.
We are also waiting on information from NSWFA for updates on their ‘School Aged Competition’ program.

School Competitions 2019

SBHS is continuing to work directly with other fencing schools as part of the established NSW Schools’ Fencing League.

In 2019, SBHS will participate in inter-school fencing exchanges and weekly fixtures with a number of other schools.

SBHS will also enter teams and individual fencers into approved NSWFA competitions.
